Problems 1 and 2 are easily fixed by replacing the woofer (6.5", easily found replacements on ebay for roughly $30, unscrew, swap the terminals from one speaker to the other, screw new one down in place of the old) diagnosis is fairly easy, but requires access to a multimeter, even if it's just a cheap one from harbor freight using that, you'd put it in 200 ohms mode (the one directly above the power switch) and then turn it on.
